ANGER MANAGEMENT

Anger is a normal emotion yet too often expressed ineffectively and in destructive ways. Anger is often a secondary emotion and is expressed rather than the true emotion. Anger comes in many different packages and is observed in a number of ways.

Aristotle once wrote of anger: "Anybody can become angry, that is easy; but to be angry with the right person, and to the right degree, and at the right time, and for the right purpose, and in the right way, that is not within everybody's power, that is not easy." There are reasons we sense anger and then act upon the emotion. We are daily challenged in managing anger and how to effectively express it. Counseling helps us better understand this normal emotion and gain the skills of anger management.
