Do you need new communication skills to help with conflict resolution?
We all express ourselves with verbal and nonverbal communication. Everyday life includes misunderstandings, disagreements and confusion between couples, families, coworkers, neighbors and strangers. Sometimes we can find it difficult to communicate clearly, or challenging to understand and “read” others. Frustration, fears, anger and other heightened emotions can interfere resulting in unhealthy alternatives to conflict resolution.
It's normal to differ on opinions, perceive and make meaning of life in our own way. Differences can offer opportunity to teach and/or learn from others.
Counseling will help in understanding and learning new communication patterns. Learning new communication skills is one way to help move past destructive thoughts and emotions that hinder, caring and respectful understanding that resolves conflict.
